After KL Rahul’s departure, a BCCI insider indicates that Sarfaraz Khan will make his debut for India in the third Test match against England: Report

<p>Prior to the third Test match against England, India received a severe blow when former vice-captain KL Rahul was ruled out of the pivotal match in Rajkot on Monday. Even if run machine Virat Kohli is already absent from Team India, seasoned all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s comeback for the third Test match against England is sure to help Rohit Sharms’ squad. The second Test between Team India and England in Visakhapatnam was missed by Rahul and Jadeja. The third Test between India and England will take off at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Thursday.</p>

<p>The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) disclosed in a media advisory before to the third Test that Rahul has not completely recovered from the quadriceps injury that prevented him from playing in the match in Visakhapatnam. The Indian Cricket Board’s highest body reports that wicketkeeper-battler Rahul is making good progress under the guidance of the BCCI medical staff, having attained 90% match fitness.</p>
