The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) declared a prize of Rs 10 Lakh for the Plate Group winners and Rs 50,000 for the outstanding players after the thrilling victory. It’s interesting to note that association president Jagan Mohan Rao Arsihnapally has also guaranteed a BMW automobile to each player and a Rs. 1 crore cash incentive to the squad in the event that they win the Ranji Trophy during the next three years.

The purpose of the announcement was to inspire the participants and any interested parties. Rao was reported by The New Indian Express as stating, “I gave them three seasons because it’s realistically not possible to achieve the target next year.”

Hyderabad, the champions of the prestigious home championship in 1937–1938 and 1986–1987, had the worst outcome in the most recent season. Hyderabad cricket was shocked to be demoted, but their return was also anticipated given that the other five Plate Group teams—Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh—are progressively moving up the ladder.
