The Indorama Ventures Center for Clean Energy seeks to assist India in its transition to a future that is energy-secure, self-sufficient, and net zero carbon. The center’s main goals are to support international efforts to cut carbon emissions by conducting research, forming alliances with businesses and governments, and launching clean energy awareness initiatives. According to the statement, the center is now concentrating on three main study areas: mitigation of urban heat islands (UHI), district cooling using thermal storage, and smart homes.

“At Plaksha, we’ve made a commitment to doing research aimed at addressing society’s major problems. Enhancing energy efficiency, decarbonizing the energy sector, and developing innovative solutions for effective use of renewable energies are the main objectives of the Indorama Ventures Center for Clean Energy. Our goal at Plaksha is to significantly improve both human and environmental health. Industry engagement is necessary for research to have a social effect. In an effort to apply energy solutions in society, the Indorama Ventures Center for Clean Energy collaborates with a number of business establishments, according to Rudra Pratap, founding vice-chancellor of Plaksha University.

In order to facilitate the scalable, cheap, and sustainable deployment of energy solutions and to foster the growth of experts and entrepreneurs who are relevant to the sector, the center seeks to play at the nexus of energy and digitalization.

“Plaksha University has established a Center for Clean Energy with funding from Indorama Ventures. The goal of this center is to decarbonize, become self-sufficient, and protect the grid so that everyone has access to clean, safe energy in the end. We are now preparing the campus to serve as a living laboratory. According to Vishal Garg, head of the Indorama Ventures Center for Clean Energy at Plaksha University, “We are starting with decarbonizing residential energy consumption and making our cities colder for better liveability and reduced energy consumption.”
