hockey competition from February 22–25

<p>The Government Senior Secondary School pitch, Amloh, in the Fatehgarh Sahib district, will host the 13th edition of the All-India Hockey Tournament for Men and Women from February 22 to 25.</p>

<p>In honor of social crusader Phul Chand Bansal, a message of “drug-free society” will be promoted by up to 17 teams from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh competing for the top honors in the men’s division, and six teams in the women’s division.</p>
<p>The monetary award for the men’s division winners is Rs 71,000, while the women’s division winners will get Rs 31,000.</p>
<p>The event will be opened by MLA Gurinder Singh “Garry Birring,” and the opening ceremony will be presided over by Amloh SDM Gurvinder Singh Johal. The principal guests at the award presentation ceremony will be SSP Ravjot Grewal and Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill.</p>
