“Nobody will want me as PM after watching it,” says Kangana Ranaut in reference to “Emergency.”

<p>Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently joked that she may never be India’s prime minister.</p>
<p>The actress was questioned whether she had ever considered running for prime minister of her native Telugu state at the trailer presentation event for Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad. With a giggle, Kangana said in Hindi, “I just finished a movie called Emergency. No one will want me to be prime minister after seeing that film,”</p>

<p>In the political drama Emergency, Kangana Ranaut will play Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister. Ranaut directed the movie on her own.</p>
<p>Kangana expressed her thoughts on getting into politics earlier in the year, but she insisted that she is not really a political person. “I’m a sensitive individual. I’m not interested in politics. I had several requests to enter politics. The actor revealed on X (previously Twitter) that he didn’t.</p>
<p>The official description of Emergency, which was produced by Manikarnika Films and Zee Studios, states that “Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the first female Prime Minister of India, stands at the center of this.” She is one of history’s most remarkable leaders.</p>
<p>In addition to Kangana, the film has important parts from Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and Shreyas Talpade.</p>
<p>On June 14, it opens in theaters.</p>
